Your meter is read approximately the same time each month. The statement you receive will state the number of days of service, kilowatt hour usage, the amount and the date your particular bill is due. Payment after the stated date will result in the addition of a 5% "late charge."  After the 10-day grace period expires, the service is due for disconnect.  The date at which your service will be disconnected is located on  your bill.

Members receiving service in Calloway, Carlisle, Graves, Marshall and Hickman Counties pay a utility (school) tax on their electric bills in the amount of 3% of the bill.

    • Disconnect Date: Date when service interruption may occur if payment is not received.
    • Meter #: Meter identification at this location.
  2. Total Amount Due and Due Date: Amount owed and the deadline for payment.

  4. Monthly Energy Use Comparison:
    • Energy usage varies due to factors such as weather, household size, and billing period length. Therefore, direct month-to-month comparisons may not accurately reflect usage.
    • This section includes total kWh used in the current cycle, previous month's cycle, and the same month of the previous year.
  5. Average Daily Use and Cost: Displays the average daily kWh and cost for the current billing period.
  6. Current Contact Information:  The phone number on file for this account in our billing system. Please update us if it's incorrect.
  7. Previous 13 Month’s Usage & Cost:
    • Graphical representation of kWh usage history over the past months.
  8. Bill Message:
    • A brief cooperative message related to services, notifications, or energy-saving tips.
  9. Payment Stub:
    • This detachable portion of the bill is used for cash or mail payments or as an account reference.
  10. Kiosk code:  A code generated from your unique account number for scanning at self-pay kiosks for payments. 
  11. Stub Information:
    • Includes your unique customer account number and any recent activities such as payments, late charges, or adjustments.
    • Lists current charges, the net amount due (including any balance forward), and the due date. 
    • Details penalties if not paid on time and any additional owed amounts.
  12. Rate Class:
    • Indicates your account's rate class (e.g., residential, general power, industrial), which is updated monthly based on inflation or TVA's fuel costs.

  13. Itemized Charges:  Provides a breakdown of current charges, including base & hydro charges, fuel cost adjustments, outdoor lighting fees, taxes, and other associated costs.
