Washington Youth Tour

Every summer two deserving high school juniors from the West Kentucky Rural Electric service area make an expense-paid trip to Washington, D.C. as participants in the Kentucky Rural Electric Youth Tour Program sponsored jointly by West Kentucky RECC and the Kentucky Association of Electric Cooperatives. WKRECC Youth Tour winners spend a week with other young people from across Kentucky touring Gettysburg, the Smithsonian Institute, Arlington National Cemetery, the FBI Building, the National Zoo, Library of Congress, U. S. Capitol, and the White House and visit with Kentucky's congressional delegation to learn more about energy issues.
