Budget Billing PLUS Credit Card Auto Payment
March 2007 -- WKRECC offers several different programs and payment options for the ease and convenience of our members.
One such program is our BUDGET BILLING or even-pay. Based upon your actual prior 12-months usage, this plan allows you to pay your electric bill in equal monthly amounts throughout the year—you may sign-up for Budget Billing from April 11, 2007 through May 14, 2007. Your budget amount will then appear on your bill due in June 2007.
WKRECC also offers a new recurring payment option -- CREDIT CARD AUTO PAY. If you’re already on Budget Billing or are planning to participate, this new choice allows WKRECC to automatically bill your credit card for your monthly budget amount. You must be enrolled in Budget Billing to qualify for this payment option.
Applications for these programs will be available on your next monthly billing statement, in your local office, or online. Please contact Barbara Walker, in our Mayfield office at 1-877-495-7322 or 270-247-1321, for additional qualification guidelines or with any questions.
Changes…
02-18-2004 -
As always, our dispatching center is open 24 hours, through the day and night, for your emergency or power outage calls. However, in the near future, we will be changing how we answer those calls, especially after regular hours and on weekends. West Kentucky will be installing an automated system to better organize those calls—this system will organize outage reports by using your TELEPHONE NUMBER. Having your correct TELEPHONE NUMBER will help West Kentucky locate outage sources more effectively thus restoring power in less time – making any outage as brief as possible.
You will find the TELEPHONE NUMBER we currently have on file for you on the front of your statement. Please check the number carefully---if the number has changed or is incorrect, please take the time to provide us with the correct information, by completing the Phone Number/Mailing Address CORRECTION located in the upper right hand corner of this page.
Please be assured that your telephone number will NOT be used for any other purpose and will not be shared with any other business, utility or marketer. West Kentucky thanks you for your assistance with this plan!!!!

JOINING TOUCHSTONE ENERGY CO-OP GROUP
Your
cooperative has joined the ranks of member-owned electric utilities across
the country as a Touchstone Energy cooperative.
Touchstone Energy is a nation-wide branding alliance that complements
the local connection cooperatives have with their member-owners while
providing the resources of a vast, integrated network of cooperatives.
The
Touchstone Energy brand will provide a distinctive symbol for our employees
and members to identify with, to feel a part of, and to take pride in.
We’ll
be here for our members, our customers for the long haul.
If it’s accountability, service and commitment to community you
want, look no further than West Kentucky Rural Electric – Your Touchstone Energy Cooperative.
One
of the services that our customers enjoy is individual outdoor lighting.
It enables our members to enjoy nighttime
outdoor activity, as well as adding security and safety to the member.
Over the years, the lights have become more expensive to maintain.
We believe your light is a good investment in convenience and the
protection of your property.
Safety first.......
10 June, 2002--Lineworkers assure you
quality, efficient, dependable electric service. Please help keep them
--your friends and neighbors -- safe.
Objects attached to your power pole may be potentially unsafe to our line
workers. Any attachments (such as birdhouses, flags, signs, satellite
receivers, etc). can injure our line workers, who must climb the poles in
all kinds of weather. Following your Cooperative’s policy, please remove
any objects attached to your power pole. For more information, please
contact Member Service.
Spring Storms
08 May, 2002 -- Although
WKRECC strives to avoid power outages, the recent storms remind us that
outages can occur....what should you do in the case of an outage?
Here are some helpful tips:
First, check your home’s breaker panel for tripped
breakers, etc.
Then, call or look to see if your neighbor’s power is
off.
Next, call us and report the outage...have your home
address and phone number ready.
Finally, rest assured that WKRECC personnel will work as
quickly as possible to restore electrical service.
New Manager
Welcome our New Manager......
On April 15, 2002, David E. Smart joins the WKRECC family as General
Manager.
Mr. Smart has been employed with Fleming-Mason Energy for the past 10
years--where he leaves as Engineering Superintendent.
He looks forward to serving the cooperative and plans to continue to
provide the best possible service to all members of West Kentucky Rural
Electric...where our power is our people!
